2 Peppers (Red and Green)
4 tbsp Ground Flour Powder
1 Medium Sized Onion
500 grams Lamb Keema
Grind the Keema
Let's grind our keema meat. In a meat blender, add your coriander followed by your onions. Now let's add the peppers in ensuring to cut them first before adding them into the blender. Now, let's grind these ingredients for later.
now let's start to add in the keema. Once added, grind the meat. After the meat is done, to the grinder add the salt followed by the red chilli powder. Next, let's add the coriander powder as well as the garam masala powder. Let's add in the cumin powder as well as the almond powder. Now let's add the cashew powder as well as the garlic paste. Also, add the ginger paste. Now let's grind the entire content until it's a fine texture.
Preparing the Meatballs
Once done, remove the content from the meat grinder and place it all in a bowl. Into the bowl, also add the flour as well as the egg. Now let's mix the meat bowl with our hands.
After mixing, now start to grab small portions of the meat (about half a hand full) and start to roll them into a ball. Once in a ball shape, place the meatballs in a separate bowl, ready for a little later.
Cooking the Meatballs
1 tbsp Coriander Powder
1 tbsp Fine Coconut
5 tbsp Oil
2 Peppers (Green and Red)
1 cup Fresh Coriander
1 tbsp Cashew Powder
2 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 tbsp Salt
4 tbsp Tomato Puree
1 tbsp Almond Powder
1 cup Fresh Cream
2 tbsp Garlic and Ginger Paste
1 cup Fried Onions
2 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
600 ml Water
Meatballs from earlier
Place a cooking pot on your cooker and add in the oil. Once the oil is hot, add your fried onions and give it a good mix. Next, let's add in the garlic and ginger paste and again give it a good mix. Now let's add some water to ensure the base does not burn.
Your masala should slowly be to become ready. Into your masala, let's add turmeric powder as well as the red chilli powder. Let's give it a good mix. Add in coriander powder as well as the salt and garam masala.
Let's also add in the fine coconut as well as the cashew powder and almond powder. Let's give the masala a good mix. It should slowly start to become dry now so to prevent the masala from burning, let's add in some water. Let's put this on medium flame and wait for the masala to start sizzling. This should take about 5-6 minutes. Make sure to continue mixing for this time to ensure it does not burn.
Now let's add in the yoghurt and give it a good mix. Reduce the gas now on low flame for 5 minutes and your masala should now really begin to look well cooked and ready.
With the masala almost done, let's add in the tomato puree and give it a good mix. You can optionally also add in some sliced tomatoes here if you like.
Let's also add in our remaining water and cover the pot with its lid for 8-10 minutes on medium flame. After 8-10 minutes, your masala should now be ready.
Adding in the Meatballs
Now let's add the meatballs. Ensure to add in only one at a time. If you add them all in one go then you will risk the meatballs breaking. To ensure that they do not break, add them all in but only one at a time.
Let the meatballs cook for 10 minutes and in this time the meatballs should harden. After 10 minutes you can give them a gentle mix and then cover the lid again for a further 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes, remove the lid and give the kofta meatball curry a mix and you will notice the meatballs are now much harder than before.
At this point, you can add in some chillies for a little extra spice.
Cover the pot again for a final time for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the lid and add in some coriander to help seal in the fresh taste.
Meatballs Ready
Your meatballs should now be ready to serve.
