King Prawns With Spinach

King prawns with Spinach is a great dish to enjoy with the family. It is a great seafood-based dish that can be served with rice and roti. The King Prawns are filled with lovely and tasty juices and the Spinach gives it that extra flavour.


Ingredients


1 tbsp Turmeric powder

1 tbsp Salt

3 tbsp Oil

1 tbsp Coriander powder

1 tbsp Red chilli powder

1 tbsp Garam masala powder

10 Green Chillies

1 whole Garlic small cut

1 tbsp Cumin powder

1 Cup Fresh Coriander

2 medium-size Onions smashed

1 Kg of King Prawn

90 kilograms of Spanish

Instructions


Prepare the King Prawns


We will first need to remove the shell from each of the King Prawns. As part of the shell, we will also need to remove the head and gut too. This will leave us with just the meat of the King prawns.


Prepare the Spinach


Cut the Spinach into small slices ensuring to make sure that they are small. Try not to cut the Spinach too small as when we cook it, the will sizzle into a smaller size. Try to keep each slice of Spinach about the finger length's amount.


Preparing the Masala


Place a cooking pot on a medium flame and add the oil to it. After that add the garlic and follow this with a quick mix. Let's wait until the garlic is a golden brown colour.


Now, let's add the onions next followed by a mix.


Let's now add the salt and again give it another mix. Close the lid for about 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, remove the lid and you should see some water coming out, allow the water to evaporate.


Adding the King Prawns


Now let's add our first key ingredients, the King Prawns. Once added, give the cooking pot a good mix and cover it for 5 minutes on a low flame. After 5 minutes the Prawns should be well cooked.


Let's add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder and green chillies. Once added, give the cooking pot a good mix.


Let's leave it again for 5 minutes on a low flame. After 5 minutes, remove the lid and give the curry another mix.


Adding the Spinach


Now let's add the Spinach. Ensure to add small portions of the Spinach at a time so that it's easier to mix. It will also allow the Spinach to cook well and sizzle into a smaller size. Repeat this until you have added all the Spinach to the cooking pot.


Once all the Spinach has been added, cover the pot and allow it to cook for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, remove the lid and give it a good mix. Close the lid again for a further 7 minutes.


Adding the Fresh Coriander


After the 7 minutes have passed, remove the lid and add the fresh coriander. You King Prawns with Spinach should now be ready to serve.

Benefits


There are a number of benefits to eating cooked Prawns. Prawns are a good source of selenium and have a great selection of antioxidant to help maintain healthy cells. They also contain Zinc and this helps the immune system to stay stone and healthy.


Spinach is a great source for Vitamin A, C, B2, K and folate. They also contain lots of magnesium and iron.
