Ingredients
1 tbsp Coriander seeds
1 tbsp Cumin seeds
1 tbsp Coriander powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli powder
1 tbsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Salt
1 tbsp Black Pepper powder
1 tbsp Red Spicy Chilli powder
1 tbsp Chaat masala powder
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
1 tbsp Green Chilli Paste
2 tbsp Lemon Juice
10 Pieces Salmon Fish
Instructions
Preparing the Fish
For this dish, I shall assume that you have a whole salmon fish. First, remove the scales on the fish and then start to cut the fish into rectangular slices. You can also optionally remove the skin.
After you have cut your Salmon fish, you can place the bulk of it in the cold storage as we will only need about ten Salmon pieces.
Prepare the Masala
On a plate, mix all your powdered ingredients until it is well mixed. Once mixed, add in your garlic, chilli and lemon juice. Continue to mix the masala until all ingredients are fully mixed.
Cover the Fish With The Masala
Now take each piece of your Salmon fish and cover each it using the Masala powder. Continue to cover each of the fish pieces. Once done, leave your fish piece for about 30 minutes.
Preparing Potatoes
Let’s use this time to prepare the potatoes. Get about 3 potatoes and start to cut them into small slices. Cut the potato so that each slice forms a circular shape.
Cooking the Potatoes
Place a cooking pan on the hub and add about 2 tbsp of oil and also add 1 tbsp of cumin seeds. Also, add turmeric powder and then mix the contents. Next, add in the potatoes as well as 1 tbsp of Salt. Continue to cook the potatoes until they become a crispy brown colour.
Also, add in some peppers and garlic gloves and again give the pan a good mix. Close the lid for 5 minutes on a low flame. After five minutes, the potatoes should now be soft. Let’s place the potatoes on a plate for later.
Cooking the Fish
Place a cooking pan on the hub and add some oil. When the oil is hot, place each of your fish on the pan. Allow up to five minutes for the fish to cook on one side before flipping them over.
Once all your fish is cooked, remove the fish piece from the pan and place it on a plate.
Cooing the Onion
On the same pan, add chopped medium-sized onion and allow it to sizzle for about 3 minutes. Next, add your remaining masala into the pan and allow it to cook for 5 minutes. Make sure to mix the masala with the onions.
Add about 3 tbsp of water also while mixing to ensure that the masala does not burn. Continue to cook for about 5 minutes and your masala should now be done.
Go ahead and place the Masala on a plate.
Putting It All Together
Now you can place your chicken piece, your fried onions and the cooked onion masala as a platter as it is ready to serve.
