Ingredients
Marinate
250 gram of Boneless Chicken
3 tsp Yogurt
3 tsp Lemon juice
2 tsp Tandoori food colour
2 tsp Chilli powder
1 tsp Mixed Masala powder
1 tsp Ginger paste
1 tsp Garlic Paste
1 tsp Salt
Let's first pour the yoghurt into our chicken bowl. Now let's add the lemon juice as well as the tandoori food colour. We will also add the chilli powder as well as the mixed masala. Next, let's add the ginger paste as well as the garlic paste. And finally, let's add the salt and start to mix the chicken.
Once fully mixed, the's wrap the chicken bowl using clean fill and place the bowl in the fridge for overnight so that the chicken is fully marinated. In the morning take the chicken out and it should be marinated.
Cooking
2 tsp Oil 1 tsp Garlic paste
1 tsp Ginger paste
1 smashed Onion
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Chilli powder
1 tsp Coriander powder
1 tsp Cumin powder
1 tsp Garam Masala powder
3 tsp Cashew powder
2 tsp Tandoori powder
600 ml Water
1 cup of fresh Coriander
Place a nice big pan on top of your cooker on a medium flame and place your marinated chicken straight into the pan. Place the lid on the pan for about 5 minutes and allow the chicken to sizzle.
Once the chicken has been cooked, place the chicken into a small bowl. This is to now allow us to roast the chicken piece individually over a high flame.
Using a screwer, drill the chicken into the screw and place the chicken pieces over a fire. Allow the chicken to form charcoal-like grill and repeat this for all your chicken pieces.
Preparing the Chicken Masala
Place an empty cooking pot on top of your cooker and add the oil into it. Allow the oil to heat up and then place your garlic paste as well as your ginger paste. Next, add in the smashed onions to the cooking pot. Once the onion is has turned a light brown colour, add the salt.
Next, add the turmeric powder as well as the chilli powder to our masala mix. We can now add the coriander powder. Let's also add the cumin powder as well as our garam masala powder. Your masala should now slowly start to turn red in colour. Make sure to give it a good mix.
Let's add the cashew powder as well as the tandoori powder and make sure to give it a good mix. Let's also add about half a cup of water now to prevent our masala base from burning. Make sure to give it a good mix now. After your mix, add your remaining water.
Adding in the Chicken
Finally, now add in the chicken tikka to the masala. Allow the curry to boil for about 5-7 minutes making sure to mix it during this time.
To ensure that your curry stays fresh, add the fresh coriander to finish your dish.
